Let's grow fig from cuttings...

Its fig fever..everyone talking about growing fig now..
I am a bit sceptical at first..but since i proved to my husband i can grow orchid and its flowering after 5 mths..what the heck...
trial & error are part in our life right?

I ordered many varieties such as Patlicans, Purple, Goklop, Turkish Brown, SarizeyBek and many more

They all are self pollinations.

any friend here would like to try out too, let me know ASAP.

till then, happy gardening!

  1. Most of the Turkish fig are not self pollinating, need a caprifig, fine for those who want to experiment. One guy from Indonesia said, he can get 10% of his fruit ( Smyrna type) to reach maturity. Let's experiment.

  5. Persistent (or common) figs have all female flowers that do not need pollination; the fruit develop through parthenocarpic means. This is a popular horticulture fig for home gardeners. Caducous (or Smyrna) figs require crosspollination by the fig wasp with pollen from caprifigs for the fruit to matureas. Whatever it is..who are we to say this & that hah? i am definately not a pro & as i said, experimental!
